Purpose/Summary
Reporting to the Operations & Facilities Manager, the primary focus of this role, is to ensure the accurate management of stock within the business. Working together with the Brand & Procurement Team alongside Operations & Facilities Manager, the postholder will ensure that adequate stock levels are held across the business, that stock levels are accurately reflected on the company WMS and that the goods are stored appropriately so that order fulfilment can operate at maximum efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- To accurately unpack stock and book this in into the system, ensuring products received match the order placed and the delivery note.
- To replenish stock in the correct warehouse locations in a timely manner.
- To work with the Brand Team to highlight any changes in stock movement that need to be addressed through the ordering process and co-ordinate stock due in so as to spread deliveries throughout the week.
- To make recommendations for improving stock processes & procedures and once approved, implement these.
- To investigate and rectify any discrepancies on stock internally and directly with distributors as required.
- To ensure all relevant stock information on the system is up to date and accurate.
- To check stock levels and stock dates regularly, raising any concerns with your line manager.
- To manage stock of gifts and samples to ensure they are used in a timely manner, going into the correct orders and rotated/located correctly within the warehouse.
- To performing random stock checks and audits and feedback the results, highlighting areas of strengths and concerns to your line manager.
- To support with full warehouse audits and stock takes.
- Carry out other Dispatch duties such as picking orders and packing/dispatching parcels etc. to aid the effectiveness of the department.
- To follow all Health and Safety Regulations and be responsible for your own health and safety.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience of working in a dispatch/warehouse environment
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Ability to work accurately and pay attention to the detail
- Ability to analyse information and make recommendations
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external partners
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility in terms of role, supporting the wider business
- Willingness to work flexible hours to include weekends, bank holidays and evening
Desirable:
- An interest in skincare and cosmeceutical products
- Experience of using eCommerce systems such as Dispatch Cloud and Shopify
- Positive attitude with high level of motivation and initiative
