The History Of Murad

After years of pharmacist training, medical experience and helping thousands of clients in his small practice, Dr Howard Murad discovered the importance of his client’s overall lifestyle and general health for their skin health. He opened a bigger practice where he combined clinical care with beauty treatments, which later evolved into a full-service medical spa where clients could have an even wider range of treatments including healing experiences.

Throughout this journey, Dr Murad was working on another project – his own line of skincare products. In his own words, Dr Murad said ‘My name is on every Murad product, that mean’s I am personally invested in making sure they are effective’. Through his products, Dr Murad allowed everyone to experience clinic quality products at home. From 1990 to 2000, the brand experienced many significant milestones like achieving their first patent, and the discovery of The Cellular Water Principle™, a scientifically proven theory that common dermatological and health problems relate to cellular hydration.
