New In: Institut Esthederm

Since joining Face the Future just over 2 weeks ago, I have been so excited to get to know all the incredible brands, and Institut Esthederm certainly caught my attention. What's not to love about all things French? The wine, cheese, fashion “ did I mention the cheese? But most importantly: French skincare.

Forward-thinking founder, Jean-Noël Thorel, pioneered Institut Esthederm in 1978 with the main aim of treating skin with respect. Skin is even referred to by the brand as an 'ever-changing eco-system' that reacts to its environment. With this in mind, Institut Esthederm has developed a range of specific products and systems to support skin throughout the cycles of life.Almost every product in the Institut Esthederm range contains the Institut Esthederm patented Cellular Water Formula “ only their oily formulations don't include it. This patented formula works to replicate skin's water content and replenish vitality. Containing the ideal concentration of mineral salts to help skin cells thrive, regain energy and remain healthy day after day.Skin 'eco-systems', French skincare and patented Cellular Water “ all sounds great, right? But what about the products? Institut Esthederm “ Skin Preparation

Within this range you will find a selection of cleansers to perfectly remove all traces of make-up, debris and impurities. Skin is optimised and prepped to received treatments from the rest of your routine.

My favourite is the Osmoclean Pure Cleansing Gel, this gentle cleanser leaves skin cleansed and purified whilst re-balancing the skins surface eco-system, for a fresh and radiant complexion. The gel has a fresh scent and creates a fine foam that doesn't strip skin. You don't need much, so the 150ml goes a long way.

Institut Esthederm “ Deep Cleanse & Exfoliate

The two products within this range are perfect for occasions when you need that extra 'oomph' in your cleansing routine and they perfectly compliment each other as a beautiful cleanse/mask duo.The Osmoclean Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser, can be used two to three times a week. However, when combining the cleanser with the Osmoclean Lightening Buffing Mask, you get a gentle, grain-free exfoliation that can be used as a weekly exfoliation treatment.

I like to pre-cleanse with an oil to remove all my make-up before going in with a 10p size of the Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser onto dry skin. Using small, strong strokes I work the cleanser into my face and neck “ concentrating on my T-zone and problem areas.

The Lightening Buffing Mask works great after the Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser as a once-a-week exfoliating treatment. I love this mask as it doesn't feel harsh or “scratchy but leaves my skin feeling soft, radiant and brighter.

Institut Esthederm “ Energise and Protect

The Energise and Protect product range contains two sprays, both with the patented Cellular Water at their core. The sprays provide essential hydration, refresh skin and help to fix make up.

I love the Institut Esthederm Cellular Water Spray, as I like to get hydration into my routine wherever possible “ especially after an acid toner and before I apply my moisturiser. I also like to use the spray when I'm using a clay mask, to keep the mask “wet which helps make removing the mask far easier.

For those living in cities where skin is more exposed to pollution, opt for the Institut Esthederm City Protect Spray, to boost and strengthen skin's natural defences. Use as the last step in your beauty routine over your make-up as a protective layer against urban and environmental stress.

Institut Esthederm “ Prevention Treatments

This product range offers a selection of creams, gels and serums to treat specific skin concerns whilst also helping to prevent signs of ageing.

My skin is oily and blemish-prone, and with that lovely combination (!) usually means enlarged pores. To combat this, I like to use the Pore Refiner Concentrate on my T-zone and cheeks. The concentrate controls sebum production and reduces shine for a more even complexion, whilst also containing the magical Cellular Water for hydration and improved cellular activity in the skin.

All skin types are catered for in this product range, if you suffer with dry skin, the Cellular Water Gel or Cream might be more suitable.

Institut Esthederm “ Correction Treatments

The Institut Esthederm Correction Treatments product range is focused on restoring a youthful complexion. With serums, creams and balms to choose from, as well as eye contour patches that stick to under-eyes to eradicate the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark circles.

The E.V.E. Serum Source is a particularly exciting product. It contains a breakthrough, patented formula infused with Essential Vital Elements (E.V.E) that provides the ideal environment to encourage skin to naturally regenerate and restore its original quality and firmness. Institut Esthederm “ Intensive Treatments

The Intensive Treatments product range offers a selection of products to: intensely hydrate with Hyaluronic Acid, treat acne with Propolis or target signs of ageing with Retinol.Identify your skin concern, choose your product and select your preferred treatment method. There are creams and serums available to help you tackle your skin concerns with the Institut Esthederm Intensive Treatments product range.

For my skin type, I chose the Intensive Propolis Serum. Propolis, acts as a purifying antiseptic to heal and decongest skin. Imperfections clear up faster due to the active ingredients, which eliminate the bacterial flora that gather on the skin. I like to add a few drops to my moisturiser as a less intensive treatment and on alternate days, layer the serum separately.

Institut Esthederm “ Prepare & Stimulate Tan

The Bronz Impulse Pre-tanning Spray in the Prepare & Stimulate Tan product range is a game changer! It strengthens skin's natural defences against the sun and prepares skin for tanning. Allowing the skin to adapt naturally to the sun whilst optimising sunscreen.A must have product for Summer 2018 and I can't wait to give it a try!

Institut Esthederm “ Tan & Protect

This product range offers essential and superior protection against broad spectrum UVA/UVB rays, visible light and infrared. The Sun Care Oil for Body and Hair, comes in two options, either Moderate or Strong Sun. My summer 2018 holiday plans may not yet be finalised, but that doesn't mean a girl can't plan ahead!I love a 2-in-1 product, especially on holiday when suitcase space can be limited and this hair and body oil fits the bill. The oil is of plant origin, dry to the touch and non-greasy, providing skin with triple cellular protection from harmful effects of the sun, whilst intensifying the tanning process and nourishing skin and hair.

Institut Esthederm “ Allow Exposure

The Allow Exposure product range offers complete protection for sun-intolerant skin or those with pigment irregularities. The No Sun Face Cream, is a cream with very high sun protection for long periods of time. The 100% mineral cream offers a deeper dose of protection to your skin, from all levels of sun intensity. Allowing those that must avoid sun exposure due to scars, medication and post aesthetic procedures to enjoy the sunshine.

Institut Esthederm “ Prolong Tan

We all spend the winter months longing for the warmth of the sun (and the beach-side cocktails)! But once the summer months finally come around, they have disappeared just as quickly “ and so does the tan, usually disappearing the moment you step on the plane!

Well, not anymore. The Institut Esthederm Prolong Tan product range rehydrates, repairs and calms skin to leave a moisturised and supple tanned complexion. The After Sun Tan Enhancing Body Lotion also works to reduce the skin's reactivity threshold for future sun exposure.
